Round Up for Rescue – July 2022

July 1, 2022 Posted by Grace Park Blog, Community Involvement

Featured Rescue of the Month

Underhound Railroad

Underhound Railroad is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs from overcrowded shelters.

By working with a network of volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trainers and shelters, Underhound is able to rescue hundreds of animals every year. We provide these animals with care and temporary homes until we can place them into their permanent homes.

We believe that no animal should be mistreated and are working towards the day when no companion animal is euthanized for lack of a home.

Featured below are just a few of the sweet pups looking for their furever homes! Consider donating to Round Up for Rescue to help Underhound Railroad today!

Mason

Say hello to Mason. He his a dear 10 year old boy figuring out his new found freedom. Mason spent the past 4 years of his life living in a garage, so he just needs a little time to adjust to being a real inside companion. Mason loves toys so much! Stuffies, balls and sticks, he just loves them all. He likes to play tug, but will eventually give up the toy for it to be thrown again. Mason has had zero potty accidents inside and is settling in with crate training. He enjoys going for car rides and looking at the world go by. Mason is looking for someone who can give him time to adjust to home life and this sweet boy will surely appreciate you for furever! Adoption applications can be found at www.underhoundrailroad.org.

Mason is currently being fostered in North Carolina and may transport as far North as Maine to his adoptive home.

Liz

Liz

Meet the sweetest pittie girl around town. Liz is a 5 year old bully breed girl ready to be the love of your life. She is around 55lbs and loves nothing more to get attention. Whether little spoon or big spoon, you can count on Liz for the endless amounts of snuggles. She is a all around wonderful girl ready to start the new year off with her furever family. Send in your adoption application today for Liz at www.underhoundrailroad.org.

Liz is newly rescued to Underhound Railroad. Please stay tuned for an updated bio. Liz is currently being fostered in North Carolina and may transport along the East Coast to her furever home.

Meet Ben!

Ben

Ben is a sweet boy who just wants love and affection, and to find his furever home too! He loves being held, kissed on and cuddled with. At first Ben can be a little shy but is playful like a typically puppy. Compared to his rowdy siblings, Ben is quiet and even tempered. He enjoys playing with all types of toys; nyla bones, squeaky toys and balls. Ben would be great as an only dog, getting all the love and attention from you, or would also do well in a home with an existing dog. He gets along with well dogs of all sizes in his foster home. This 3 month old boy is ready for a family to lead him and continue his basic puppy training. He is already crate trained and continuing to make progress with potty training. Ben will surely bring so much happiness to the lucky family that adopts him. Send your application in for this sweet soul at www.underhoundrailroad.org.

Ben is currently being fostered in South Carolina and may transport along the East Coast, as far North as Maine to his adoptive home.
